A Level Overview

The A level family includes AS and A levels. Available in a wide range of concept . Pearson Edexcel A levels give students the chance to develop intellectually as they explore a subject in great depth. The A Level programme we offer  helps  graduates join private and public Universities in Kenya and  world class  Universities in the UK, USA, Italy, Canada, Australia, Switzerland and South Africa . The A Level offers students an environment and experience which bridges the gap between School and University study. It brings a University approach and maturity to the students’ work and broadens and deepens the academic and intellectual perspectives of the student which is of benefit to their tertiary education. Students are expected to develop effective study, research and presentation skills and to take responsibility for aspects of their learning.

The Edexcel A level program offered at St. Nicholas emphasizes on every aspect of student growth and development, while meeting state requirements. Suitable class sizes and exceptional, qualified teachers allow us to offer a comfortable and inclusive educational environment, while ensuring each student receives the individualized attention and support they need.

In order to study A Level, students must first meet our general requirement of 5 GCSEs grades including English. The  A Level Program  that we offer requires the learners to have   obtained  a grade C, or above, in the subject (or related subject) at GCSE in order to study it at A Level.
